“The Aurillac Festival is much more than a cultural event: it’s a time for creation, experimentation and sharing between artists, local people and audiences from all walks of life.
From Aurillac, art shines out across France and around the world, driven by the audacity of the guest companies and the enthusiasm of a loyal audience. Once again this year, almost 3,000 artists and 140,000 spectators will come together to enjoy a great popular celebration.
This Festival is a reminder of the power of culture in the public space to open up and bring people together: on the streets, in the squares, in the parks, all kinds of encounters are possible.
Collective projects, participatory performances and intimate encounters will set the pace for this resolutely free and joyful edition. Alongside the official selection, more than 650 visiting companies will be sharing the Festival’s effervescence, offering a wide range of perspectives and experiences. Car Wash is a clown, circus and street theatre show full of foam, laughter and surprises, where cars and their drivers are the protagonists. Agro stops the vehicles, interacts with the drivers and, between jokes and music, washes their cars and their hearts. Genuine improvisational theatre. Using a wrist-mounted device, it selects the perfect soundtrack for each moment in real time, integrating music with comedy. Car Wash is a unique, fun-filled experience for all the family.
