Collectif Primavez has been taking part in the Les Petits Bonheurs festival for eight years now. The latter has been organised since 2017 by the Agglomération de Béthune-Bruay and takes place on an itinerant basis in the thirteen member towns of the metropolitan area. The festival provides for meetings between the artists involved and the ‘Creators of Happiness’ as they like to call them.
Since 2017, the collective has been accompanying groups during sessions to create together shows presented to the public under a circus tent. Throughout these sessions, the collective’s strong point was to adapt to the specificity of each group and create according to the personalities and skills of each individual. From the proposals made by these ‘creators of happiness’, the valuable help of specialised educators and under the watchful eye of the Primavez artists, the shows are created. Each proposal of the participants is a gift according to them. From year to year, the collective intervenes less and less on stage to let the talent of each participant shine. When they talk about their work with these artists, it is clear to the members of the collective that the roles are reversed and that they are only the actors of their creation.
One of the meetings with the specialised centre Coallia resulted in a forty-minute show in which they surprised the audience with their strong personalities and the quality of their work. Under the big top, adults and children discover a world full of emotion and laughter where diverse abilities are at the service of a new mode of expression and creation.
Nous is the result of all this work, an inclusive, funny and moving show, where everyone has their moment of glory.
Nous Team
Creators of happiness: Yvan, Arnaud, Damien, Stéphane, Julien, Miguel, Joseph, Sandrine, Pierette and Nely.
As part of its cultural policy and its Disability Charter, the Agglomération de Béthune-Bruay invites you to Les Petits Bonheurs, ‘the festival that does you good’. Every year, several hundred ‘Creators of Happiness’ create circus shows and street art throughout the region.
Les Petits Bonheurs is a nomadic, inter-communal festival of playful arts that has grown over the years. Its main aim is to prove that people with disabilities or who are losing their independence can create moments of happiness for everyone. To do this, they develop creative collectives with recognised professional artists whom they admire and create original works together for local residents.
Begun in 2018 with the COALLIA centre in Calonne-Ricouart and as part of the FestivalLes Petits Bonheurs, this Nousproject brings together 6 everyday superheroes, mainly visually and hearing impaired people, and leaves them free to give us a marvellous show on stage with their many abilities.
Part clown, part absurdist, part buffoon, Nous is above all a wonderful lesson in life.
Nousis an inclusive, funny and moving show, where everyone has their moment of glory.
