DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nPlayground Impossible acrobatics on a Chinese pole at the Cran-Gevrier’s Carnival\n\n\n\nOnce a religious festival, the carnival today brings together young and old in costume in large parades in many towns in the Haute-Savoie department. Annecy, also known as ‘Little Venice’, hosts the Venetian carnival every year at the end of February. But there are also carnivals for families, to the delight of children. In Annecy, these carnivals take place week after week in the various districts and former communes.\n\n\n\nOn 29 March next, the Carnival in Cran-Gevrier will take place, organised by Cran-Gevrier Animation and the Youth Department of the City of Annecy. The performance requires active participation, with the spectators physically helping to hold up the set, which includes a towering 8-meter-high Chinese pole. The connection between the audience and the artist is crucial, as the entire structure would not stand without their involvement.\n\n\n\nThis is the challenge Miguel Rubio embraces. His performance depends entirely on the spectators, who support it not only with their gaze but also through their physical presence, seated on 8 chairs that are part of the set.
